FITFIEND A.I. ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered fitness coaching application designed to help you train smarter. We take your privacy seriously — your fitness data belongs to you, not to us. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

Our data philosophy is simple: collect only what we need to make the coaching experience better for you, store it securely, and never sell it to anyone.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use FITFIEND A.I.:

  • Workout DataExercise logs, sets, reps, weights, rest times, and session history.
  • Nutrition LogsMeals logged, macro breakdowns, calorie targets, and dietary preferences.
  • Account InformationEmail address and display name (if you create an account for cloud sync).
  • Device InformationDevice type, operating system version, and app version — used for bug fixes and compatibility.
  • Usage AnalyticsAnonymized app usage patterns to help us improve the coaching experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Power the AI coaching features — generating personalized workouts and nutrition advice
  • Track your progress and adapt recommendations over time
  • Sync your data securely across devices (if cloud sync is enabled)
  • Improve the app — identify bugs, crashes, and performance issues
  • Provide customer support when you contact us

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of the FITFIEND A.I. service.

4. Data Storage

FITFIEND A.I. is built offline-first. Your primary data store is a local SQLite database on your device — your workouts, logs, and knowledge base live on your phone, not our servers.

If you enable cloud sync, your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest using AES-256 encryption via Supabase. You control whether sync is enabled and can disable it at any time from app settings.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Period.

We work with the following service providers who may process your data on our behalf:

  • SupabaseEncrypted cloud database and authentication. Bound by GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.
  • ExpoApp distribution and over-the-air updates. Does not have access to your fitness data.

We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: Request a full export of your data at any time from app settings (JSON or CSV).
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from app settings or by contacting us.
  • Portability: Export your data in standard formats to use with other services.
  • Correction: Update or correct your account information directly within the app.

7. Children's Privacy

FITFIEND A.I. is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at support@fitfiend.ai and we will delete that information promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of FITFIEND A.I. after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
